Taco Bell Beef Tacos
CONFESSION ? I had @tacobell for the first time in my 35 years of living two weeks ago!!!!! I’m not going to lie, it was delicious. So naturally, I wanted to remake those crunchy, gorgeous little beef tacos my way – more nutritious, cleaner and a touch boujee ?
Ingredients
- 1 pkg organic ground beef
- 1/2 red onion diced fine
- 1 packet Siete taco seasoning
- 1 tbsp Siete chorizo seasoning
- 1/4 cup milk
- 12 Siete Grain-Free Taco Shells
- Garnishes: cheese, diced tomatoes, finely diced red onion, shredded iceberg, greek yogurt!
Instructions
- In a pan over medium heat, add a touch of oil + the ground beef. Then add the onion and cook for a couple of minutes breaking it up.
- Add the seasonings and the milk and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Stuff your taco shells, add the cheese, lettuce, tomato, greek yogurt + onions, and devour.
- See below for some tips
Notes
Healthy doesn’t have to be hard – so go ahead and use those clean pre-packaged spice blends like the Spicy Taco & Chipotle blends from @sietefoods as well as their grain-free taco shells (so good).
Instead of sour cream, I used Greek yogurt, and by adding a 1/4 cup of milk to the ground beef it was creamy and delicious without using any oil or butter.
I like to know what I’m putting in my body and each one of these comes in at around 151 calories so I enjoyed 3 of these completely guilt-free.
Feel free to sub all the dairy for plant versions – my body doesn’t have a dairy intolerance if it’s organic high quality dairy like @horizonorganic & @tillamook ?
