THE Leek Sauce

THE Leek Sauce

I call this THE SAUCE. It’s creamy, savory, relatively healthy and so darn delicious it hurts. Best on salmon, great on everything else! Sauce and rice amirite?


  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups cleaned and sliced leeks
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic crushed 
  • 1/2 tsp salt (I think I used 1 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • zest of whole lemon ? 
  • 2 tbsp grainy mustard 
  • 1 can coconut milk (just the hard solidified part not the water)
  • 1 cup broth


  • Add the olive oil to the pan on medium heat. 
  • Add the leeks and sauté for about 3 minutes. 
  • Add the butter, salt, pepper, and zest and sauté for two more mins. 
  • Add the grainy mustard and combine. 
  • Add the coconut milk and broth and simmer down for about 10-15 minutes until the sauce is thick and creamy!
  • The perfect addition to your blue plate specialty!
