Salmon Rolls
It's like a butter lobster roll, but substitute salmon for lobster! Decadent, simple, and delicious, it's perfect for a Backyard BBQ or special appetizer!
Ingredients
- 3 brioche hot dog buns
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter
- 2 cans Blue Harbor Wild Pink Salmon
- 1/4 cup chives thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Cut your hot dog buns to mimic a perfect little lobster roll bun; I am all about easy hacks! Cut the sides off lengthwise so that the edge is raw, then cut them in half to make perfect little lobster rolls.
- Melt half a stick of butter in a pan. Once melted, pour ¾ into a bowl. You want to leave a thin layer of butter in the pan to brown the buns.
- Over medium-high heat, add the buns raw side down to the pan and leave them to brown for 2-3 minutes. Flip them over and brown for 2-3 minutes. Add to a serving platter.
- Strain the salmon and add to the melted butter. Add the chopped chives, salt, and pepper and give it a good toss (there will be lots of butter left over, but we use more so that everything is easily coated and a little left to drizzle).
- Open one of the buns and gently pack in the salmon chunks. Repeat until all six are finished.
- Drizzle with leftover butter, add chives as a garnish, and enjoy!
