Turkey Chili
It’s finally cold in LA and that calls for TURKEY CHILI that is healthy, super satisfying and delicious + an excuse for ALL the toppings and jalapeño cheese buns.

organic ground Turkey or chicken

olive oil

white or red onion

green peppers

red pepper

jar
organic tomato sauce

tomato paste

cup
chicken broth

cumin

tsp
coriander

tbsp
dried oregano

tsp
salt

tsp
pepper
1/2
tsp
chili flakes
You can also buy a pre-mixed chili spice packet

can
organic chickpeas
rinsed and drained
Fixings
greek yogurt
avocado
shredded iceberg lettuce
scallions
cheese
jalapeños
Instructions
Dice the onion and peppers and add to a pot with olive oil - Sauté on medium for 10 minutes.
Mix all of the spices together.
In a separate pan, add a bit of olive oil and brown the ground turkey, about 10 minutes.
Once the onion and peppers are soft, add the cooked ground Turkey, tomato sauce, tomato paste, broth and spices.
Bring the heat to medium low and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring every couple minutes.
Add the chickpeas and continue to simmer for another 10 minutes.
Top with all of our favorite garnishes, it's ALL about the garnishes! And if you're feeling extra crazy, dip some toasted delicious bread in it!
